My Favorite Foodie Places in Brooklyn Heights

Brooklyn Heights

Brooklyn Heights is one of my favorite neighborhoods because everything that you need is there: Trader Joe’s, Barnes & Noble, a movie theater, it’s so convenient. Thought the reason I spend the most time there is honestly, for the food.  Here are a few places I’ve been to and loved! Shout out to my friend Tatiana for her endless restaurant recommendations as a resident of this neighborhood. 🙂

1. Teresa’s

I was introduced to Teresa’s by my friend who lives in the neighborhood, it’s a Polish restaurant and they have the best pierogis and blintzes that I’ve ever had in my life!! I order both the potato pierogi and the blueberry blintz each time I go. I can’t order anything else. Nothing compares. The service isn’t that great, but the food is worth it.

2. Colonie

127 Atlantic Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11201

This place is a new discovery for me. I was looking for a brunch place for my friends birthday and found this! They are known for their fluffy pancakes, but everything else on the menu looked equally delicious. I recommend getting there at opening because there’s already a line and they don’t even take reservations!

3. Pinto

Pinto is a Thai restaurant and the reason they are on this list is because of how they present their Thai iced tea, check out the video in the above post. It’s so cool to see the cream swirl with the iced tea, and makes the experience fun because you can do it yourself. The food is also perfect.

There are a million pizzerias in Brooklyn, but I appreciate this brick-oven style. It’s made fresh and the atmosphere of this restaurant is very cozy. It’s a good option if you’re heading to a movie or looking to catch up with friends.

Classic. American. Brunch. Maybe it’s a bit pricey, but otherwise a good default option in the neighborhood. I think the last time I was there I ordered eggs benedict and a mimosa, which to me is the perfect combination of food and drink for a Saturday.
