I gave myself too much credit. I thought that because I had a lot of free time this week I would be somehow motivated to write and catch up on my novel, but it was not meant to be. I prioritized reading and baking over writing, so I’m calling it–this is my final update for NaNo. I put in a bit of effort early in the month and if I attempt it again next year maybe it will go somewhere. I think I learned a bit about myself and my writing ability during this month, but I’m not going to beat myself up for not writing much.
Thoughts on writing this month: I can write things? And I can make things up as I go along? That was what I was most concerned about when I decided to do this challenge. I’m glad to know that the writing part of my brain is not broken or gone. Honestly, I hadn’t written anything in SO LONG. So at least I know that about myself? I’m not sure if I will actually write anything after this, but I’m glad to know it’s possible. Onward and upward!
