Happy Sunday! This post is inspired by this Buzzfeed video!
I used pancake batter from the Jiffy Biscuit mix
- 1 package of Jiffy Buttermilk Biscut Mix
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup of milk or water (I used 1% milk)
- 2 tbsp. oil
- Butter or PAM to grease the pan
- Jar of Nutella
- Toppings (I used banana and syrup)
Grease pan with butter/PAM. Combine batter ingredients (biscuit mix, egg, milk, oil) until large lumps disappear (some lumps okay). When the pan is heated, spoon desired amount of batter on pan, then add a glob (about 2 tbsp.) of Nutella on top. Add batter on top of glob. When the sides start to bubble, flip pancake over until golden brown. (Makes 6-8 pancakes).
The warm gooey-ness of the Nutella causes the pancakes to fall apart, so be careful when handling. The package for the biscuits said it would yield 12 pancakes, which was not the case for me, probably because of the extra batter to cover the Nutella.
I topped mine with bananas and syrup. YUM!
Let me know if you’ve tried this or something similar. Or if you have other recipes for Nutella! Om Nom Nom.
